Tradition meets modernity

Yunjac is a beauty brand based on the power of traditional Korean herbs, amplified through modern technology. NR2154 was asked to create an identity and packaging system to bring its concept to life. We created a brand purpose blending power and purity, heritage and innovation, translating the brand’s unique ‘whole plant effect’ to create an identity that would extend across both physical and digital expressions, and allow the brand to claim its place as the modern apothecary of prestige skincare.

Identity

To express the process-led apothecary approach, we designed a carefully crafted wordmark grounded in an earthy color palette. To bring the ‘whole plant effect’ to life, we art directed an image library that highlighted the power of each ingredient.

Packaging

The purposefully understated packaging concept allows the quality of the product and its unique ingredients to shine through, speaking to the quality of the product through elevated materials.

The digital experience brings the whole plant effect and each Yunjac ingredient to life. Since its launch in 2018, Yunjac has claimed its place as the modern apothecary of prestige skincare, quickly growing to a $90 million a year brand by 2020.
